History:

Our organization was founded in 1976 when the management team, under RB Boyce FCA and DG Spence Technical Director took over the majority of the South African trading assets of Hussmann Inc, a Manufacturer of refrigerated display cabinets in St Louis Missouri USA. Mr Boyce continued at the helm until his retirement from the company in September 2002, when Mr MW Holt joined the management team  as the Technical Director. Our first major project was the  supply and installation of the refrigeration equipment at the Woolworths Cresta Centre  food market completed in October 1976.

Design, installation and maintenance activities are our main business. We are proud of our association with Woolworths for whom we have been the sole provincial provider for the past thirty years. We share their values and standards, generally accepted to be the bench mark in the Southern African retail trade.
Behind the scenes we have been involved in the Woolworths distribution centre at City Deep where we have been involved in the refrigeration development of the depot which covers ten thousand square meters of refrigerated space encompassing frozen food, chilled storage, a complete meat processing plant and banana ripening facility.  At present we service and maintain the distribution centre and one hundred and fifty three stores including their franchise division stores.

Like wise our association with Makro sa which spans over the past twenty years to which our contribution in developing the present bulk refrigeration display and storage systems, bulk frozen food display and storage and the new refrigerated sales area in the butchery department, at selected branches, has been instrumental in the expansion of the Makro sa food business.

Recent projects completed over the passed 2 years include 40 stores for Woolworths with 22 to be completed before the end of 2007, Makro Strubens Valley, Wonderboom,  Woodmead, Springfield and Centurion. Other projects include Cadbury’s Warehouse, Natela Warehouse and various agricultural projects.
